Turkey’s influence in Africa… Erdogan’s soft power!

Turkey’s influence in Africa is increasing day by day. In this context, the France-based Le Journal Afrique Magazine published an article. The article, which draws attention to the fact that Turkey has become a very powerful and important actor in the region, included the following statements:

“An alliance with great potential”

The cordial relations between Algeria and Turkey represent a new geopolitical paradigm in the Mediterranean and Africa. The gradual alignment of past and geostrategic interests shared by the two states is emerging more than ever today. The alliance, which has great potential for Africa as well as for the two countries, is getting closer and closer.

“Turkey’s new soft power”

Algerian President Abdulmecid Tebboune has been emphasizing a “strategic partnership” with Turkey for weeks. As France continues to increase its hostilities, President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has a new “soft power” in Africa.

In the African continent, Algeria and Turkey have become very strong diplomatic players.

“Turkey has left France behind”

Algerian President Tebbun sees the Turkish investment model as an excellent alternative to French neocolonialism. According to the Algerian Foreign Trade Development Agency (Algex), Turkey has far surpassed France in terms of trade relations with Algeria. Currently, more than 800 Turkish companies operate in Algeria.
